I remember the Winnipeg as the ship Canada sent with the Constellation Battle Group from March 2001 to September 2001. She was a wonderful compliment to our Battle Group and a welcome member too. We were between Hawaii and Australia when a small part of Winnipeg's crew came aboard our ship, the USS Benfold. The night before they left, they left us a wonderful gift: a hundred stickers all over our ship of the Canadian Forces! Thanks Win-a-KEG!

I was happy to read that HMCS Winniepeg stopped by in Pakistan. I hope you guys had a good time there. As the world starts to avoid going to Pakistan its nice to see that Canadians look past the hype and take on the challenges that come at them. As a Pakistani- Canadian I want to thank all you.
